Why we built AhaarScan
Over the last decade, food aggregators transformed how India eats — but they also transformed how restaurants survive. Today, a restaurant that relies on Swiggy or Zomato hands over 15–30% of every order, loses all access to its own customer data, and competes for visibility on a platform it doesn't control.
We watched independent restaurants, cafés, and cloud kitchens slowly become dependent listings instead of independent brands. Meanwhile, the “digital” alternatives — static PDF menus and expensive custom apps that nobody downloads — didn't actually solve anything.
So we built AhaarScan: a direct ordering platform that gives a restaurant everything an aggregator does — live menu, online ordering, customer data, analytics — except the restaurant keeps 100% of the relationship and 100% of the revenue. All through a single QR code, with no app downloads and no per-order commissions.
